Organizations operating in a Microsoft environment can deploy the Leostream Connection Broker to build out a VDI that fully integrates with their physical existing infrastructure. Leostream Connection Broker has long supported Microsoft technologies, including: integration with Microsoft Active Directory® services for authentication; management of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) sessions; support for Microsoft Windows® 2000, Windows Server® 2003 and 2008, and 32- and 64-bit Vista® operating systems; and management of physical and virtual machines found in Active Directory.
Now, Leostream enables Microsoft customers to create a complete, scalable, enterprise-class virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-VTM.
Using the Leostream Connection Broker, organizations can:
- Easily install the Leostream Connection Broker virtual appliance into a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V or Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 hypervisor.
- Deliver any desktop running a Microsoft Windows operating system that is XP or later, including Windows 7.
- Establish connections using RDP 5, 6, or 7, depending on the capabilities of the client and remote desktop.
- Provide true multi-monitor support for end users connecting via RDP.
- Specify a list of network printers to connect to a particular group of clients based on their location
- Support user profiles by consistently offering the same desktop to a user who travels or changes physical location
